Exercise Therapy

Exercise therapy is designed to incorporate everyday tasks and specific exercises in areas meaningful to each person’s life, with an overall goal of functional independence. This client specific treatment plan allows individuals to perform their activities of daily life more easily. My speciality area is cancer rehab, however I also work with people pre/post surgery, chronic disease, and injuries of all types.

What are the benefits of exercise before, during, and after cancer treatment ?

Exercise can:

  • Alleviate the side effects of cancer treatments (fatigue, pain, bone and muscle loss, etc.)

  • Improve quality of life (stress, anxiety, depression, etc.)

  • Reduce the risk of cancer recurrence

  • Enhance self-image and confidence

I can help you:

  • Set achievable goals

  • Minimize side effects of treatment

  • Modify post-surgery exercises

  • Rehab range of motion issues and strength

  • Customize a plan just for you

  • Ensure proper exercise technique

  • Return to work or daily activities

I’ve worked with all types of cancer survivors since 2009. Through coaching and correct training, I’ve safely guided many people back to their normal daily lives. I specialize in all types of cancer and have experience helping women through breast, cervical and ovarian cancers.

I see people one-on-one or in small group sessions. If you live out of town or prefer to exercise at home, I can design a program specialized for you to reduce chronic pain and help you stay healthy, youthful, and active for a lifetime. Before attending a group class, I do ask that you contact me for a private one-on-one session so I can assess you and get a proper health history. This is to ensure that I can provide you with the best program for your health.

Check out the class schedule or email me to book a private session.
